Alabama AIBS List Serve
In order to stay informed about evolution education issues in Alabama,
subscribe to the Alabama AIBS List Serve. This list is part of the
AIBS/NCSE
Evolution List Server Network, which maintains an email listserver for each state.
These are open lists, and the purpose is to distribute news and discuss
state-specific science education issues:
The email list servers allow scientists, teachers, and other interested
parties to be in touch with each other locally, nationally, and
internationally. They can facilitate support groups for teachers trying to
teach evolution in a difficult atmosphere. They can also permit rapid
communications and grass-roots activity when school boards or legislatures
are considering policies that will promote the teaching of
anti-evolutionary ideas in science classes.
The old "evolistAL" list serve is defunct, so a new list,
al@lists.aibs.org, has been created. To subscribe to the Alabama AIBS/NCSE
list serve send the following message body to majordomo@lists.aibs.org:

While subscription and posting are open, the list will be moderated to make
sure that it is used for the above purpose. The list of email addresses
subscribed to the list will not be publically available.
